Beauty Empties: Burts Bees Part Deux

baubles&knots

As you may remember from my very first empties post, I’ve been a member of the hive since before Beyonce’s fans appropriated bee culture as their own.

Since that post I’ve finished 3 more Burt’s Bees products.

The Acne Solutions Spot Treatment is a product I’ve been using for years. Sometimes I branch out & try something different, but I always come back to this product.

It’s main component is the ever present acne treatment  salicylic acid. The 2% formula is derived naturally from willow bark extract. Willow bark extract contains natural Beta Hydroxy Acids, which work as a skin exfoliator to help unclog your pores. Other key ingredients in this natural acne treatment cream are licorice root extract to help reduce the appearance of redness & tamanu oil to help promote healthy skin. When I have a blemish popping up I dab a dot of this cream on freshly…

DermoFuture – Filler or Faux?

Levi-Maria Evans

Hi guys! I hope you’re all having a fabulous Sunday! I am back with another review for you beauties but sadly, it’s a disappointing one.

This product is said to be an alternative method to permanent lip enhancement which expands and fills the lips. It has a micronised structure and content of a ‘super size complex’ which makes the lips acquire colour, firmness and is also said to act as a cushion or support for sunken skin around the mouth.

This glass glow contains Vitamin B5 which sinks into the skin, reduces water loss through the epidermis and effectively moisturises the mouth area leaving it soft.

It also contains Vitamin E, also known as…

Somebody call 911

courtney94blog

I stood in the bathroom, blood gushing from the wound. I started to see stars as my playlist skipped over to The Fray – How to Save a life. How ironic! I reached for my phone, in hopes of calling for help before I bled out. My fingers, on autopilot, dialed a number I have been able to recite since I could talk. When my mom picked up, I forgot to breath, as I told her I was in danger, it was an emergency and I needed her! Something moms have to master before actually graduating as a mother, she quickly managed to calm my heart palpitations and anxiety attack. As steady as I could, I replayed the whole gory scene for her – “I need you mommy! I haven’t been able to wax because you aren’t here to do it. So I took a razor blade to my gorilla…
